Six Factors that Build up a Child’s Confidence

  1. First, do not look at a child’s weak points and faults but focus on Child’s outstanding points and talents.
  2. Second, put weight on the effort made and on the process involved in improvement, rather than on the result.
  3. Third, accept imperfection with warmth.
  4. Fourth, don’t compare a child’s abilities with other children’s.
  5. Fifth, emphasize the particular character and individuality of people.
  6. Sixth, view the child unconditionally as one hundred percent okay.
  7. Mothers raising their child, knowing their own child well, tend to compare them with other children and give them a minus rating.  This becomes the biggest wound in the child’s soul.
